Quick Hits (part 1)

Here are a couple of points that I wanted to bring up but not sure I'm ready to write a whole dissertation on just yet.

1) While watching the last portion of the Abortion documentary Lake of Fire, I thought of something interesting. This may seem easy to dismiss, but give it more thought than just a dismissal.

If we're going to call abortion "murder," can't we call a miscarriage "suicide?"

(not that it would do us much good to do so, just something curious)

2) While watching a documentary 7 Signs of Christ's Return, the speaker keeps returning to Christ's Second Coming, a phrase everyone in Christianity has heard at one time or another. But, since Jesus is said to have died and was resurrected three days later...

Wouldn't any subsequent "coming" be actually the Third Coming of Christ?

(this is probably splitting hairs but I think it is technically accurate, isn't it?)

(edit: one more thing)
3) Due to both recent and long past history, I'm really not sure how this happens. It must be a family tradition because I can't imagine too many people coming in off the street to sign up. Seriously, and in all honesty, pledging allegiance to an organization who has made some fairly large errors in judgment (no pun intended) and has employed some extremely questionable leadership...

How is the Catholic Church getting new members?

splitting hairs, stirring the pot, whatever.
